Yes they do. We have done Heads, cam setups and cam only setups and they are VERY close in power so we dont recommend them to people really much any more.

Fran,
Both those rides look amazing. With the hood clearancing needed for the Whipple...do you or anyone on here happen to know if the Anderson Composites carbon fiber hood has enough clearance already?
https://andersoncomposites.com/colle...bon-fiber-hood

Just curious. I'm not trying to add carbon fiber for the weight savings or anything but I like the looks. Someone on here has a hyper blue with a carbon deck lid that I can't quit staring at so I keep thinking about this hood for my build with a Whipple. Your shop is a long ride from Alabama but these videos are tempting me to make the trip to check it out.

You drop the pan and remove the oil pump while installed in the engine bay? As far as I know, that's the only way to remove the chain. I could be wrong though.

Yes we remove the pan in the car. Do the same thing in the vettes too.

Im not sure honestly. We have never used that hood but we are a dealer for them if you were wanting one.

Interesting. I would think removing the engine would be easier. Nice.

Fran is there any worthwhile performance gains in porting the stock blower? Maybe a better question would be... What kind of power do you believe the Whipple is worth over a ported factory supercharger on the same build?

Whipple is worth about 100hp or so. More importantly AIT temps will be MUCH lower with the whipple than the factory blower, especially after a few pulls

I think it's going all going to boil down on budget. Gains of 20-25whp seem to be a plausible amount on a ported stock blower @ around $1,200. You could always buy the Whipple, sell the stock 1.7 and make some money back.
