TedJS could you please send me this info so I can take it to my dealer. The manager has been very argumentive that this is normal as his pickup does it. I tried to convince him that this is different

My stealership treats me the same way. Weeks with unreturned phone calls and emails. I would like to get this info as well.

It's not published in print as of yet.

The dealer should reference last months emerging issues broadcast and possibly contact technical assistance for confirmation on the how to proceed with the procedure.

Good luck.

Dash removal is unlikely at this point as both doors have to be taken off in order to remove the dash as an assembly.
Well that is nice that they encourage the dealers to reinstall the windshield. Though taking it out and leaving it out would solve the issue as well I guess.

Quite. Reinstalling the windshield is the right idea.

If I had this problem I might see if the mode door actuator can be made to fully close the door.

Remove actuator, feel if door is traveling freely and seating at the end of travel both ways.

It is possible to wallow out the actuator mounting holes to twist the actuator a little more to seal the door.

Or - there's a piece of misplaced foam truly blocking full closure. If so, tip your tech up front before he works on the car.

Yea I'll tip the tech. Do the job right the first time and don't leave greasy hand prints all over and I'll give a good review. That's my tip.

Well, looks like I spoke too soon... last couple of days have been warmer in the mornings, and when I have left the house (630am), a much larger section of windshield is fogging up, even with the a/c set at 74 or 75. Dadblame it!

Good news is I've been putting off having the headliner replaced (which they have to remove the windshield for as well)! Leaving it with my dealer next month for a week while I'm traveling (headliner, windshield fogging, tune for CAI, rattle under headliner,...).

I go in Friday to talk to service about the issue. On the phone, he said couldn't find anything about it.

Mine is so bad my wife freaks out, saying that I can't see to drive, and makes me run the wipers

Here in south central Kentucky and my brand new 2017 2ss has this same exact issue. Terrible. It's 90+ degrees in the summer here and extremely humid. With the air on, the bottom right center of the windshield is continually fogged up and continually have to turn the wipers on and off to solve the issue. This is terribly unsafe especially at night when it's still hot and humid. Never had a car with this issue. GM should be embarrassed and ashamed for not recalling this and providing a permanent free fix.

Fogging windshield

Outside temp shows 76 I have the ac set fan speed low dash torso vents only and inside temp synced at 76 with recirculation off. I can't understand how this is normal to not be able to run my ac without fogging the outside of the windshield where I have to run the wipers. GM makes a hell of a performance car I'll give them that but their HVAC system is dog $hit.
