Don’t forget when you remove stock lid follow this tourqe pattern, and bolt them back down to 89 in-lbs. Seems like a lot of work just to remove the baffle in lid but hey it may be worth it to you.

This is exactly why I wouldn’t mess with the baffle in stock lid or the rust. Just don’t be cheap and do stuff the right way. Also removing battery cable any time you do any work to your car is needed for this reason.

You can get the factory service manuals from Helm. They are $250 for USB disk or $375 for printed.

Helm

These manuals are the only way to go!

Thanks !!! I want a hard copy and of course they are sold out. I requested to be notified when they are back in stock.

I could have sworn I searched that very same website when I first got the car and they didn’t have anything yet.

Thank you for the link.

Slightly off topic, and does not add performance at all...but has anyone added the foster sc mods kit to increase some whine?

Prolly because you just don't need a new gasket man. It's not a good ol' cork intake manifold gasket from the days of yore, as long as it's not comprised or damaged in any way it's GTG.

I never disconnected my battery and had the lid off twice. Once to remover the insulator then a second time to install the NX lid. Never got any form of code or issue since your not removing anything electrical or vacuum related. No need to buy a new gasket either because the one in the factory lid is a heavy duty silicon/rubber gasket that is actually in a grove in the lid, same with the middle bolts, those have a heavy duty silicon gasket as well you just pull out and place in the new NX Lid.

Thanks for all of your imputs with it i was able to pull off my supercharger lid and remove that tiny plate. It did make a noticably difference increase in the whine of the supercharger. Before revving the vehical i could barley hear from in the car now its clear as day and wot is much louder. I am sure it will get even louder with cai installed.

I used a new gasket. Probably wasn't necessary. There are very sharp edges on the supercharger and lid that you could cut a gasket with though. So be careful.
