I think over at Autogeek or Autopia someone is trying various coatings over the Essence. I'm tempted to buy some and try some C1, and Kamikaze over it to see what happens. I have a new company vehicle waiting for me to have the time to move into..... sounds like the perfect test mule for a coating test.

Its good to see people here using these products and sharing their experiences. I hope the OP gathers something from this regardless if he pays to have it done, or decides to DIY.

It's Autogeek. I was in on that conversation. Now that you mention it I did try it under one coating on my old car. I can't even remember what it was. Must have been Blackfire. I was testing so many products on my old car the last few months I had it.

I had 4 layers of Ceramic Pro 9h applied plus the windows treated with Ceramic Pro. The guys did an awesome job. They said it took a little longer to do cuz GM used a water based paint and its super thin. But finished product looks amazing. Total came to $1870 but I had a scratch they made disappear that added an extra $75.
