Waze for Android auto link

1. Delete your current version of waze off your phone before installing this version.
2. Turn off auto updates in the Google play store until the official version has released.
3. Install this

4. Enjoy.

I got this link from YouTube and it works perfect. Haven't ran into one bug as of yet.

I didn't have to do 1 or 2. It actually asked me to upgrade my existing Waze. I don't believe it will auto update period installing from apk. Since Android considers it 3rd party software that way, not software from the Play store.

This has nothing to do with the car or myLink. This is an app installed on your phone.

Does yours display the speed limit? I have the app settings configured to show it, but it doesn't appear on my 8" MyLink. It does work when I run the beta app just on my pbone.

Also, I noticed that if I shift into reverse after selecting Waze, when I shift back to drive, the screen returns to the AA overview page and I have to select the navigation icon to return to Waze.

Otherwise it works pretty well. I like how I never have to "send" a report...as soon as I select whatever the hazard or issue is, it just sends automatically.

you want the dealer to update your phone? its typically the apps that lack compatibility with android auto

Thanks for the share, its working nice in my car. I like the map overlay more than Google Maps for the auto.
