LT4 SC or any blower conversion information for an SS/LT1

As you may know my wife's car was on A.G.G. and Edelbrock used her car as one of the sponsor adds and test cars. I see several post about people asking what's all needed to make the LT4 blower work on the SS the will also work if you were to pick up an aftermarket blower with out all the odds and ends. I won't go over all the Pvc Tubes or exchanger hoses you should be able to figure that out and where to run them. a majority of this are the pulleys and tensioners stuff. keep in mind this are the OEM numbers they are 5 years old and it my take a phone call to a GM dealer to get the new part number vs a gm wholesale web search to research pricing.

Anyhow I stumbled on to my original information sheet that's not included with the normal blowers this was all testing phase stuff..

Mechanical Parts need to mount and run a PD blower:

Intake tube GM 22935828
Crank Pulley/Balancer GM 12671006 or 12687725
Crank Balancer Bolt GM 11547373
Tensioner GM 12663624
Pulley GM 12665845
Pulley Idler GM12642705
Pulley Idler GM12642707
ICT Billet Adapter LT1 Heads to LT4 intake ICT# 551590
GM Balancer w/ 3.50 blower puller 84.8" belt K408048
LT4 Valley cover AKA valve AFM lifter masnifold #12699793, 12675782, & 12674051 * You can block off hole on the bottom of the blower

Easiest way to handle the intercooler system:

Intercooler pump with bracket Edelbrock number #51-4201
Intercooler Pump LT4/CTS-V GM #13597903
Intercooler water pump harness that Ts into the Evap #37-6619 or a lingenfelter L480340000 you will need to still to add a relay and wire the intercooler pump up
PLM Exchanger 350 for sock thickness and 395 for 2 inch plus thichness
3/4 Hose and preformed elbows by gates I leave this to you, you can setup
your I/C system how you want
ADM setup: sourced out: Parts used to mount the reservoir and mate to stock I/C hoses for and LT4
Gates 19839 premolded heater hose U will cut and route $10.00 Orileys
Gates 28479 premolded heater hose U will cut and route $10.00 Orileys
2 5/8 to 3/4 coupler $1.99
2 24mm constant tension spring hose clamps These are black look better $1.00 ea
6 26mm constant tension spring hose clamps $1.00
Edelbrock 51-7100 Tank – black reservoir like Magi or ADM $27.00
Edelbrock 51-7008 Tank lid - $13.00
Edelbrock 79-9177 Tank bracket - needs a bit of mods to attach to strut $35.00
SS reservoir install https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=553155

Electrical System: T MAP MAF Harness..

Edelbrock # 37-1619 * for this map (0261230042) 2.5 bar
DSX harness dave can make harness if you tell which map you plan to use.

I will continue to updat..

$159.00 ZZP LT4 SC pulley 2.7 - to 2.8 depending on fuel mods
$350.00 12671006, 12687725, 12713718 LT4 Balancer (ATI ATI918856 & 916153 $475.00) for 100 more I would do this option
$238.00 12699793 LT4 valley cover or block of the PCV port
$54.00 12692675 Bracket for ZL1/CTS
$54.00 12663624 Belt tensioner with 8 rib Zl1
$43.00 12678515 8 rib Zl1 96mm pulley
$53.00 12678295 8 rib ZL1 77mm pulley
$55.00 12665845 8 rib smooth pulley ZL1
$23.00 12585673 LS3 front cover seal
2x Bolt, Hex Flange, M10 x 100mm
2x Bolt, Hex Flange, M8 x 55mm
3x Bolt, Hex Flange, M8 x 40mm
$219.00 551590 ICT Billet LT1 to LT4 Adapter
37-1605 Edelbrock water pump harness that's activated by the evap solenoid
37-6619 Edelbrock Baro harness for the MAF/TMAP
$395.00 PLM-HE-CH-CA-2017 PLM exchanger
$649.00 LPE L300227415 Bumper reservoir
$490.00 E2512A Stewart EMP intercooler pump (1 inch so you will need 1 in to 3/4 fitting to reduce. however there will be no 5/8 fittings on the car since like the zl1 so you will be way better off.

The rest will be 3/4 hose plumbing maybe pick up some barb fittings 3/4 90s and 3/4 45s unless you want to source some pre-bent universal gates hoses found at any auto store pick up some straight barbs then to connect to your SC coolant lines. Use one of the install directions from any of the big 3 aftermarket blower companies to help along the way.. you can make your own quick disconnect pcv fittings vs trying to use the oem stuff which is expensive. Orileys usually has some hard tubing and quick disconnects to make PCV lines yourself or the oem lines can cut the disconnects off to use them over.

Lt4 injectors
Lt4 pump
boosta pump or DSX would be nice extras.

Thanks for this informative post and initiative
Hopefully a lot more details can be input by yourself and other members moving forward.

This could become a sticky for the LT4 PD conversion on LT1 motors

Needs to be a sticky in my opinion. Thank you EDF Hobbies. Seeing the parts list broken down really gives you an idea of how involved and how much of a treasure hunt this route can become. Seeing this, I am glad I decided not to piece together an LT4 blower conversion. For a positive displacement blower, I would only consider a 2650 or a new 3.0 whipple complete kit. Just ain't worth all that work for a smaller blower with minimal heat soak resistance.

The centrifugal blower kit i purchased by comparison has way less parts and seems to be a much easier and cleaner installation. I will definitely be missing out on that sweet and instantaneous low end torque the top mount blower provides, but the easier self installation and the thousands of dollars in savings seems like a reasonable trade off.

Thanks Yall! I like to save people and myself money and use upgraded parts when the stock parts are comparable in price.
