I have had my 1982 Z28 for 30 years and have never cleaned the underside of it. Not sure why keeping for a long time means you need to clean dust off the underside. 30 years is longer than most of you have been alive. Given that I am 48...if I am alive to see 30 years with my 14 1LE, I will be happy! LOL

dealer in uppsala has a 2010 50k miles camaro..
i had a good look underneath..all susspension arms were rotten..rear susspension cradle was rotten..that's all i could see..on my 10 k miles dry use only car i can see places where the paint has been rubbed away..the front wheel arches has plastic shrouds to protect..but where the shroud attaches to the chassis the paint has rubbed away to bare metal..now if you drove this car as a dd for a few years there will be holes there...these car arnt proteced at all underneath.. my new hyundai has a thick layer of wax underside from the factory... just be aware of rusting on your camaro.. |
