Debating lowering my 2010 SS
I love the look but man I just cant get a feel for where the front end is on this thing. I feel like I would crush the bumper in no time LOL.
It's time for new shocks too so I was thinking oem shocks and set of pfadt springs. Anybody lower it and hate the ride so much they went back to stock? Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk |

Doubt many went back to stock. If you are needing shocks though you might want to consider a set of coilovers then you can adjust the height to what you like. You will have to make sure you don't pull up on curbs, i already don't because some are too big for even stock ride height. Good practice to not pull up close. I am installing 1-1/4 lowering springs more from phastek. Haven't gotten to see the finished project yet

Honestly I cant even parallel correctly in this car. I'm always like two feet from the curb. The wide rear messes me up hahha.

I found a good way to go up/down inclines is to approach it diagonally or at an angle. This way you aren't scraping your nose too hard.
As said above, stay a good 6-12 inches away from those concrete parking stops. At stock height my front splitter was only about an inch above most of those. Now? Forget about it. I would likely rip it and my front bumper off.

Nope. I lowered mine on 1" SLP springs and prefer the ride quality over factory. The body roll is significantly reduced and feels much more confident in corners. Like others said, if you're going to be replacing the springs, why not just get some coilovers?

I installed a set of BMR springs with a 1” drop, but it was only a matter of time before I went with BC Coilovers, which give a much nicer stance. My suggestion: avoid paying twice by going straight to coilovers.

Springs are cheap, i mentioned it because you said you were going to do the shocks too.

Question for you all. I was looking at coilovers but my mechanic told me that if I went to coil overs to lower the ride, I would have to change a lot of other suspension parts in the process. Is this statement true?

If you are just lowering a inch then you are fine. Only need to change things if you are slamming it to the ground

Springs are relatively cheap. How much did you find 4 struts for? I've heard if you're going to change your struts and install lowering springs, the 1LE struts are the way to go as long as you don't go lower than 1.25" .
