Anyone try this out (with the mufflers) to see how the drone is?

I have got to get rid of this Magnaflow 3" exhaust and its drone.

Man I don't see where you have drone from? I have the same system and no cats with headers and it only drones right at 55mph or about 1500-1600 rpm. Other than that, has a great tone/sound.

Not sure we have the same system if going by your description (though may be the same but with just dual outlets).

I have the ZL1 3" system. It says its a street system (part#15053) but with headers and no cats its pretty loud but the drone is horrible. My wife hates riding in the car with me.

Not as loud as the stainless works chambered system I had (and hated because I despise the raspyness of glasspacks...to each his own, i know several like it) but still pretty loud.

I am also not a fan of loud exhaust anymore anyway.

Mine is the 3" system as well, but with single tips. Mine really only drones at 1500-1600 rpm. Above or below it just has a healthy and deep sound. Not too loud or quiet. Whack the go fast pedal and it definitely has some bark. Cold starts are my fav hehe.

ive got a set of TSP 1 7/8 L.Ts and im looking for an aftermarket exhaust from the headers back to my SLP LM2 axel back. i was hoping this kit will work, but really dont want to buy the mufflers w/tips. where are you guys getting the x pipes at?

also, since my motor is pretty much stock, woulnt a 3in exhaust hurt my torque number? i focus more on building torque numbers rather than horespower. Monstrous torque is more fun in my opinion.

do they sell a resonator delete kit for the factory exhaust?

It most likely won't fit. Most of these manufacturers design cat back system to bolt up to their header systems only, so mixing and matching components doesn't work 9.5 times out of 10.

2.5" is more than sufficient up 600+ rwhp, so you wouldn't benefit from going to a 3" cat back, but it most likely wouldn't hurt you that much either. The difference would barely be measurable.

Not that I'm aware of.

So any updates on this exhaust? Sound clips anyone?

I have their complete kit on my car, i actually got everything done under $850 including the tune since i had gotten the exhaust for 3 something and 1 7/8 headers for $249. Its a deep tone like a glasspack with some drone on highway at certain RPM but quiet cruising 60-67MPH, best part about it though is that you can switch out into 40 or 44 series from flowmaster with 4 clamps and have different exhaust sounds as you fancy. If you have a lift or access to one it will allow you to move everything around to make it fit more the way you want to but the exhaust does hang a bit low for those lowered it might be lower than they would like. Right now i am using the kit with a 2 chamber muffler like the original 40 and like the way the car sounds.
