appreciate the info. I did get a chance to speak with JoeP earlier today and he confirmed the same. Looks like it'll have to be a MY22. Probably a plus for me since i don't need a car right away.

speaking of which ... anyone ordering Rapid Blue ? I just googled it and man, does it look bright! Can anyone confirm whether this is the same color as the Rapid Blue on the C8 Corvette?

I have one ordered. Same color at the C8, as GearheadSS mentioned.

Are there any pictures other than ones from Daytona earlier in the year?

Not exactly what you're asking, but I found the following video of someone who wrapped their ZLE in a blue that's very similar to Rapid Blue, based on the C8 I saw in person:

I feel it gives a better visual idea of what it'll look like on the 2022 cars, versus the Daytona cars which had other details/logos on them.

I don't think so. Hopefully they will publish a promotional photo soon, like they did for Vivid Orange

Really wish the Vivd was a real world photo than a promotional one. I can't decide whether to wait for vivid or keep stalking dealers hoping a crush shows up with the options I want.

My local dealer called me saying he had an allocation for a 2022 Camaro Convertible, but rapid blue, vivid orange, and Shock & Steel package was not available yet. I'm going to order Rapid Blue of course, so I'll need to wait longer...

I also asked about markup and GM employee pricing. I am friends with the Owner (who has more than 15 dealerships) and worked there for 5 years. He said that a lot of dealers are not honoring GM pricing and marking up several thousand dollars. They do not have to honor GM pricing. I told him we will cross that bridge when the time comes. He said he used to have 400+ new vehicles on his Chevy lot for sale, now he has 12.

Just an FYI

Unfortunately, there's not really anything new that you shared here. Supply is way down on parts, that drives down supply on vehicles, and there's seemingly an -increase- in demand (likely because of a sort of "panic buying" of vehicles). Dealerships are businesses and they exist to make money. They have to protect their profits, so it's understandable that they will sell at a price that the market will tolerate.

I'm looking at possibly moving to a '22 in Vivid Orange, but I'm not going to get sucked into the overpaying game.

I wrapped my Camaro last year in the Avery intense blue, after seeing images of a ZLE wrapped with it. It's a great color! I too saw a rapid blue C8 at a track night, it's very similar.
