Unofficial '6th Gen Awesomeness' thread
We know there are plenty of things you love about the 6th gen, why not concentrate them here instead of spreading them around the rest of the site?

Do you even lift, bro?

CLEARLY my fave is the track day, shifting hand cooling system for the M6 guys:
i.e. placement of the large dual A/C vents right behind the shifter LOL

When I first saw the 5th gen in person, I knew I had to have it. I'm an impulsive SOB. The 6 gen captured the essence of the 5th for me and refined it to something that looks more expensive and sophisticated. For me this is where the awesomeness is, I know a lot of people want just a bare bones muscle car, but let's face it, technology and comfort sell, and this thing looks like it will knock both departments out of the park. To me it is an ideal evolution of the 5th gen, not without a couple things I would change, but overall just a beautiful, crisp machine. Camaro fans should be ecstatic GM has put as much effort into this car as they have.

Loves
Lighter Smaller Improved aerodynamics 1LE topping handling from regular SS DI VVT V8 MRC option Instrument cluster is one section (not divided like 5th gen... Always hated that) Previous 4-pack gauge info now in instrument cluster Dat blue! Likes Overall aesthetics Headlights Taillights No more shark gills 5-spoke wheels Heated/vented seats Heated steering wheel Push button start (and presumably passive entry/exit) Configurable instrument cluster Driving Mode selector Selectable color ambient lighting Those are my initial positives, anyway. My negatives will go in the other thread, but overall I like it so far! |

While most here will disagree,I am getting one with EVERY single creature comfort! We can now have it ALL! Thank god the awful boston acoustics system is gone. Yea bose is no champ, but it sounds pretty damn good in my wifes 2014 impala. Chevy wasnt kidding when they said evolutionary. Interior looks similar to gen5, but MUCH improved. Exterior looks very much the same, but more modern.

I love the interior!!! It does have a more athletic build like GM stated. Corvette inspired taillights. I'm happy with it. I want one bad
