Damage
I came home to this last night. Does it look intentional?

Do you live in an apartment complex? I'm thinking someone backed into you. The diagonal scratch is a bit of a head-scratcher though. Really sorry to see this though. :(

Looks like it was done on purpose. That is definitely not caused by someone hitting your car. Best of luck.

It may have been accidental... like somebody was carrying something heavy, dropped it and used your car to pin it and then recover the load causing the diagonal scratch.
No, I'm not a detective, but that's my analysis. Damn sorry to see that happened to your amazing car, though.

That's definitely intentional, that diagonal scratch like that ? comon
All you can do now is get it fixed, don't think of it too hard anymore itll just piss you off, plus it seems like people have been hating hard and out to mess up 6th gens lately I don't know what the deal is. I have never heard read and seen of so many cars get vandalized, wrecked due to other party, broken into and stolen, just within the year it has come out, like it has been with the 6th gens. |

Ya looks intentional for sure... Sucks man I feel for ya. Had my tires slit on my 4x4 a few years ago. Pissed me off and I tried hard to find out who did it and never did. Like someone else said don't dwell on it too much just get it fixed and be a firm believer in Karma. Now if it happens again... Well then i'd suggest camping out in your car a night or two and hoping they come back by.

Not sure that was intentional,
Why bend over and scratch the bumper? very short person? Count the scratches, that would have taken a good bit of time. How did they do the horizontal marks? Marks go to the diffuser. |

It looks like a knife made the cuts. The perp was squatting to stay out of sight. That's my theory.

You say on a side street, meaning thats where you were parked. Obviously someone tried to parallel park and hit you, reason for the up and down scratches was a bumper hitting and ridinding up your bumper as it flexed and the one going sideways was either coming in or exiting the spot.

I doubt it was intentional too, when people are doing intentional things , even when squatting down they'll rip the hood, side of the car and the trunk lid… It is a strange set of Marks, but I don't believe it was intentional. No matter , it's a bumper cover, replace it, total bill will probably be about $1000.

Honestly, the depth of those scratches is what will give you your answer.
Are they deep scratches that penetrate past the clear coat into the actual plastic? Only sharp objects that can pierce reach that deep. If its more of a rough grainy feeling, it could possibly be an unattended pet who decided your bumper looked like the couch / scratch post it's got back at home. I'd even go as far as to say you probably caught the attention of a few hungry trash pandas who might've smelled something from your trunk? I like to think people aren't complete ass holes but they don't even respect my dinky 2015 Honda let alone a shiny envious Camaro so sometimes the benefit of a doubt is just a peace of mind for yourself. |
