That's what I mean, your friends don't have to be online to race them. You race their drivatar

So pricing out the CPU/video cards/RAM I want, it looks like an $800 upgrade vs. Consoles at half the cost. Decisions, decisions...

I say wait till next summer to make your decision because of where pc parts will be then as well as consoles will have more to judge on. I have a PS4 and love it, but will be the first to admit it along with the XBONE is worth waiting on. I personally will only get an XBONE for a Gears of War collection like the Halo one coming out since rest of the titles I enjoy playing are either third-party on both or on the PS4. And I am starting to spec out a new desktop so I can PC game again eventually.

Any games on PC's that aren't on consoles, that's worth the price of PC?

So far the games that even remotely pique my interest for PC coming out in the next year or so.
Rise of the Incarnates (Fighting game that reminds me of bloody roar) Star Citizen (Not completely sure what it's about, but I want to find out more) Evil Within (I just want more info on this game as well) Chroma (If anyone can make a rhythm based shooter, Harmonix can) Civilization: Beyond Earth (Haven't played Civ since Civ III. Apparantly, this is supposed to be as good as Alpha Centurai) Crawl (Might be fun, but looks meh) Everquest Next (Next played EQ. Was always into UO) Forma 0.8 (Game that makes you think...ALOT) The Gods Will be Watching (Electronic version of the "Would you rather" game) Never Alone (One of the few semi-educational games that looks well done) Styx: Master of Shadows (Stealth game with a twist) Volume (Want more info. sound based stealth puzzle game) Wasteland 2 (Wasn't the biggest fan of Fallout 3, but I heard New Vegas was good. This is a sequel to the game that inspirsed Fallout series) Batman: Arkham Knight (Only played Asylum, but LOVED it. Planning on picking up City and Origins when I finish Tomb Raider.) Assassin's Creed: Unity (I am going to have to watch the end of III and black flag cutscenes on youtube to catch up with the storyline. Unity looks like it's going back to the roots of what made it a good series, plus coop!) Other games that interest me are below: Rise of the Tomb Raider (All) Mortal Kombat X (All) Everybody's gone to the rapture (PS4) Bloodborne (PS4) Star Wars: Battlefront (all) Scalebound (Xbone) Quantum Break (Xbone) |

After discussing this at length with at least 30+ people, I'm pretty sure I'll be going with a PS4. The reason that tipped the scale is the fact that I play console games with a friends list, so that we can play multiplayer/co-op. If I play assassin's creed, or destiny, etc. It's that much harder to find friends online to join the fight/race/battle/whatever.
That was the underlying factor that even made the choice difficult. A majority of my close/real life friends are all on PSN so I'll be going that route for my console of choice. Thanks everyone for their input and insight. It was very helpful. =) |
