Just made my last payment!
Greetings all! I just paid off my 2011 Camaro!! I know, she's 7 years old and all. I bought her in 2012 used with 25,000 miles. I know this is basically tooting my own horn but it's the first car I've ever just paid off without trading it in. I've been tempted to trade her in for a 6th Gen, but I just can't bring myself to do it. Although I've had a little bit of trouble with the car in the past, she's been pretty reliable, so I believe I'll be keeping her for a long while. Now I can put some of that extra monthly money into a new paint job (she's got scratches in various places).
She's a 1LS that I've upgraded with rally stripes, rally wheels and a cold air intake. I may do Halo lights in the near future. My one and only gripe continues to be that she doesn't have a spare tire (an air pump was included, instead).

Congrats. I bought my upgraded 1LS in March of this year and I have more payments ahead of me than behind me. It only took 7 years for them to get into the price range I could afford. While I would love a V8 car I am happy with this one as a daily driver.

Congrats! Thats a nice car & it is a great feeling of accomplishment & freedom when the note is gone. Mine was paid off 3 years ago. The other thing I find is when I no longer owe money on a car I am less likely to want to trade it in and start the whole process of owing money all over again. It keeps me more grounded.

Congrats on gettting the car paid off. I bouught my 2011 in 2010 new and still have it and never will get rid of it. Plus in my opinion Imperial Blue Metallic is the best color. But every one has their own choice of best color same as a 6 or 8 cylinder. watch out getting the mod. bug.

Congrats OP, having her all yours is a great feelng. You can find a spare tire on ebay. I demanded a spare tire when I bought mine so she does have one.

Congrats.
Pretend that you still have car payments but invest that extra money you have now instead of spending it. |
