Rearview mirror camera (Wolfbox G900)
I decided to try out a rearview mirror with cameras for my 2017 Camaro 1LT. After a little research I ended up buying the Wolfbox G900 (12" mirror).
Installation was fairly easy and I'm very happy with the results. Front camera is 4k and rear camera is 2.5k, with both you can see license plates clearly. For hard wiring I used F39 Rear Closure for constant 12V and F19 Front Ventilated Seat 1 for switched 12V from the rear fuse box. This configuration worked for my car. I mounted the rearview camera in the bumper next to the license plate light. GPS antenna was mounted in the passenger A pilar and the signal is strong. Here are some pictures of the installation: |

Thanks! It improves the visibility from the factory mirror and you also add dash cams that records all the time.
Is also a cheaper way compared on adding the OE system from the 2020+ Camaros. Here are some picutres of visibility at night. |

Oh hey neat! Whenever I go back to El Salvador to visit, I always wonder what driving a Camaro there would be like because of how small some of the lanes inside residential areas can get. I can see that it's certainly possible and that mirror camera seems to be a great addition to help with visibility.
Cool thread! |
