I had a 2019 2SS with A10, NPP, MRC, Sunroof, white interior, white rally stripes. Window sticker was $49K
If I get another one it would be a 1SS A10 with 1LE package. Nothing else. Extra stuff on 2SS is nice but I can definitively live without bose, heated-cooled seats, heated steering wheel, ambient lighting and fancy door sills. |

I regretted it right up until the point I traded in my '16 1SS for an '18 1SS 1LE. Then the regret went away.

I bought a 2SS with no fun options in February and thought I'd convinced myself that I didn't need a 1LE since I already have an Auto X/Track car (signature).
I thought wrong, took it back to the dealer after 3 days, in order to unwind the deal they kept $2500 but I think it was worth it. I've had the wrong car before and it was always a nagging thing in the back of my mind whenever I drove it. Over the last weekend I closed on my 1SS 1LE. I do miss some of the creature comforts from the 2SS like heated/cooled seats (although the Recaro's are amazing), and the interior lighting accents but this 1LE is absolutely the right car for me. 0 regret now.

This threads really got me thinking if I should add MRC to my order while I still can…

Sun roof and NPP are a waste of money. If you're going to slap aftermarket mufflers on the thing like most enthusiast do why spend on the money on NPP? Cooled seats are nice for the southwest FL summers. My 2016 2SS came loaded except for MRC and sun roof. I wanted a 2020 LT1 with just the A10, nothing else. You coudl get them for about 34k at some dealers but they were all the way up around i4 like Stingray and Orlando area. I would have got the LT1 just A10 and slapped on after market exhaust. I don't care for NPP because I keep mine open all the time. I like it loud. I don't care what others thing. |

Personally for me I wish I had a 2SS for the better stereo. The one that comes with my 1SS 1LE is trash. Also wouldn't give up NPP for anything, I love the adjustability of being able to control when it opens. Sunroof would be nice but I'm ok without it, I do like the roofline you get with no sunroof.

I've owned three gen6 Camaros. The 2SS was a must because I like HUD, heated steering wheel, heated/ventilated seats, etc. The extra luxury is worth the additional 8 pounds and cost. The other musts are NPP exhaust and black suede knee bolsters.

Buying most vehicles these days, but especially relatively low volume sports cars, is like how buying records used to be before digitization: You had to buy the whole album for 1-3 good songs...yes some albums had many good songs, but they were the exception overall.
So for Camaros, if there's some option you can't do without, you're going to get options you can't do with, and they all increase the price of the car. My Mosaic Black metallic Camaro 1LT has just four options: V6, A8, RS package and a sunroof. Plus dealer installed accessories like illuminated sill panels, black bowties, an RS leather console cover, and tinted windows. Getting a 1SS meant a one-time $10K price increase and ongoing 40% higher gas cost (+20% for less mileage and +20% for premium). Did not pass the value test for my situation: no interest in tracking, even if I had the V8, and for day to day driving, the number of times you can take advantage of the V8's 1 second faster 0-60 time are minimal at best. I do get the appeal and history of the V8, but today's V6s are not far down the performance ladder as they were before the 2000s. I agree with those who think the NPP exhaust is a waste of money if it's always left open anyway, so I got a Borla Atak axle back with black tips->something that you can't get OEM on any Camaro. Along with that I've done (or had the dealer do) a bunch of exterior and interior mods, from blacking out all the brightwork from and back, to installing the front fascia extension, to installing a piano black dash kit and contrasting garnet red trim pieces in the otherwise all black interior. I don't have any regrets because I got the Camaro I wanted, and at a deal too good to pass up: $5K off MSRP with various offers/incentives and 0.9% financing for 6 years. That MSRP discount was effectively a no-haggle price, another bonus. |

I got my 2SS with NPP and MRC. No regrets on anything, it's got everything I need/want and would order the exact same if I did it again.
MRC is just an awesome feature, as is NPP. Must haves IMO. |

I just came from a Scat Pack with the adaptive suspension and now have an SS 1LE... there is a bigger difference in the modes on the challenger but for me the challengers touring was too bouncy, track mode got extremely rigid though, shatter your teeth rigid... the 1LE MRC is as tight as the challengers track mode(a little more so) but soaks up the bumps so much better... not that I really minded the challengers suspension though I do miss that car lol

I was thinking.. that there was no feature that I had wished to have on my SS, other than it not being a ZL1. The car had everything, other than MRC. Sure, I would've liked having it but it was never there so it was never missed. My new car now has the adjustable suspension. Again, it is "nice" but not really a deal for me - I don't mind having a stiff suspension 100% of the time, so I rarely adjust anything.

The one thing I still change sometimes is actually the suspension, I either have it locked in tour for a) crappy roads and b) easier launch, or flip it back to auto so it firms up a bit in track mode but nowhere else.
