Just got my first batch of oil Mobil 1 0W-40. I bought two boxes of this hard to find oil on Amazon.

Also, got a AC Delco oil filter ready to go as well.

I like the fact 0W-40 oil allows for Street / Track use. Even though I do not plan on tracking the car, I do not mind the extra protection.

What kind of oil and filters do you all use on your LT1 engines? I'm new to the Camaro game and I'm just getting my feet wet!

I just use the regular Mobil 1 synthetic 0W-40 and wix filter. I don't track my car at all. Street use only. Nice looking LT1!

I use the exact same thing you have there... Mobil1 0W-40 ESP Formula and an AC Delco PF64 filter, just as the manufacture recommends...

You can get 2 cases and a filter here for $104.99 with free shipping: https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Mobil...it,386340.html

I changed mine at 500 miles & 1,500 miles, next change will be at 4,500 miles...

That link is very helpful! Appreciate the information. I will def buy from this company before next oil change. Hell, I might even get a batch now while the stock is good.

My first order from them I bought 30 qts (5 cases), I figured that made sense to get me through my 500 mile, 1,500 mile and 4,500 mile oil changes... (without having spare quarts left over)... I'm currently at about 1,750 miles...

Please be advised, in my experience, my 2020 2SS has taken about 9.5 qts to register at the top of the hash marks on the dipstick (during 2 different oil/filter changes)... I would suggest starting with around 9 qts and see where you end up (I let it drip for better than 45 minutes prior to plugging and filling)... You do NOT want to overfill...
