If you are going to regularly track the car, ZLE for sure, if you are never going to track it either a 2SS or a ZL1 (if you want the supercharger)... I ended up with a 2SS even thought I REALLY loved the ZL1 front end and hood... I simply couldn't justify the $20K extra for those 2 features when I wasn't going to track the car... I can't fully have fun with my 455HP, 650HP would just get me in jail that much faster...

I would say it 25% depends on the roads, 25% depends on your tolerance for a rough ride, and 50% depends on your desire to drive it everyday. If you want to drive it everyday, then you will adjust your expectations for the rough ride on even slightly rough roads / highways. Personally... I would NEVER DD the car. Not because the ride is rough, although that would be apart of it, but because it takes the FUN out of pulling her out on the weekends... Hope this helps.

Take a ride in one. I love it, my wife hates it. I just hit 43,000 miles in mine and she's ridden in it 3 times in 3 years (and still hates it!). But as others have mentioned, if you're asking the question, the answer is probably no you shouldn't.

When you daily a ZLE, you learn pretty quick that your head will hit the roof on most drives. Unavoidable.

Bought my 1LE in June 2020. It's not a true DD but I have driven 10k miles and my head has never hit the roof. It's a race car disguised as a DD.

Well I've not been as lucky. Although, I know the roads I drive everyday and I know where not to drive so that helps. I've only been ejected out of the seat and into the roof liner 3 or 4 times and every time it's at a bridge transition on a road trip where I've never driven it before. Those are ROUGH. Louisville KY bridges heading westbound darn near broke my neck. I'm pretty sure my shoulder hit the ceiling as I was going a little faster than I should have been and the bridge transition was as smooth as a set of stairs. Scared the crap outta me (It was my first drive in the car taking it home from the dealership). Good times....

I could not daily the ZL-1. Too low, too valuable, too expensive to service, and too special to daily, IMHO. |

For me, it wasn't whether I needed one, but rather I simply wanted one. Again, it's basically a race car with license plates and not the best DD.

I was averaging just short of 10,000 miles per year - bit less now. Road holding manners are infallible provided you have RIGHT tires.
Ride is rough and noisy, even on highway. At minimum for daily operation, you'll NEED/WANT more daily friendly tires, my go to was Pilot Sport PS4S - given how much power is on tap, I am SURPRISED they lasted through better part of 20,000 miles!! I like the look, it's fantastic track car - haven't been on track yet, but average 10+ autox events per year.

If you don’t mind that ride, then you should be fine.

Nobody will answer that question for you. There is a little people having both, let alone driving it daily. I drive ZL1 daily, but I love how 1LE looks... man...

This is why so many people buy the 1LE and end up selling it within a year, they buy them for the wrong reasons.
