Recall On My 2016 Camaro

I just got a letter from GM today telling me there is a recall on my 2016 Camaro. The letter states:

"We have learned that your 2016 model year Chevrolet Camaro may have a condition in which water can migrate within the forward lamp wire harness and intrude into the fan control module connector, which could lead to connectivity loss and terminal corrosion. If this condition occurs, the Service Engine Light will illuminate. In addition, if the loss of the engine cooling fan operation is not corrected, the condition can lead to engine overheating or engine damage."

"What We Will Do: Your Chevrolet dealer will inspect the connector and ground terminals for the presence of water or corrosion. Your dealer will also clean and add a sealant and a patch or replace the wire harness and/or cooling fan module or assembly, if necessary. This service will be performed for you at no charge until August 31, 2018. After that any applicable warranty will apply."

This may have been covered in a previous thread, but I'm posting this for everyone, just in case.......................................

V6 only. There were at least 5 people who have reported that problem during the rainy seasons

It says clearly on the gm recall page this is for v6 and fours only. Gonna get the parts blowup screen print on this and look myself before I take it to a dealer....

A whole day to re-terminate a connector? Ouch. Are they city union workers?

My engine light came on for that in the spring, dealer thought the cooling system died but this is all it turned out to be.
