Primary and Secondary cats deleted, can't tell if Rasp or Rattle lol. Likely going to plug resonators mid way and then ultimately hope that the aftermarket NPP options have stronger valves

Not 100% sure what brand I'll go with, Contemplating how to go about it without hacking up the setup too much. I may go glue (fml) the damn pin again if the glue has crapped out while I have the car up.

GM won't do anything. The run around and total lack of customer service I have received their "customer care" team is pathetic. They maintain the rattle is "normal" but refuse to put that position in writing. No explanation why they issued a service bulletin for a "normal" exhaust rattle.

Attached is a pdf of the page from service information.

Has anyone successfully performed this procedure themselves? I tried to do it this weekend, but my car does not allow me to change the driving mode while in Accessory mode (i.e. I cannot close the exhaust valves with the car turned off).

you have to press the ignition button without your foot on the brake for 5 seconds until the little light on the button turns green. That puts it into maintenance mode, where it acts as though the engine is on so you can change all the settings, without actually tuning on the engine. Let me know how it turns out for you. I'm planning on trying this fix myself as well.

Eh epoxy is strong but not when there are elevated temperatures.

The epoxy is rated up to 224F/ 107C that's decent but the exhaust does get decently hot so.

The valve did not move to the closed position per the TSB's instructions (at least in my car).

Regardless, I triple cleaned the areas noted in the TSB and applied the referenced epoxy (I believe epoxy cost me $15). After waiting 24hrs for the product to cure, I took the car for spin and it still buzzes. Is it better, yes, maybe 30% or so. I've gone through the procedure twice, same result. Pretty disappointing.... I'm bringing it to the dealer in the near future, I want a new exhaust if they can't fix it.

I am on my third set, The first they flat out replaced under warranty, the second the put the epoxy on, after about 3 months, the rattle came back, so they replaced it again.

Do any 2017 models have this issue? I have not heard anything out of the ordinary on my recently purchased 1SS.

This is so sad... I waited a while to see if GM would have an acceptable solution but nothing yet.

Thanks for the tip. It would have been nice if Chevy would have correctly written the service bulletin. I applied the epoxy this weekend, and it did not alleviate the rattle that I am experiencing. At least the exhaust rattle distracts me from the wind noise that Chevy has been unable to correct for almost a year now.
