I run E85 on sub 600 lift cam and boost, think my rev limiter is at 7250 RPM, I shift at 6900ish. I did the 7250 for 0-60 bragging rights with M6 as there is no shifting needed given my slightly taller tires drag radials.. cheeezzeee I know, just say it is very close to C8 times... There is no reason to push the engine that high, mine was a specific objective.

The only way to get close or under 3.0 0-60 with 100 wear tires is to not shift on the M6, this can be done on the Zl1's M6 (different first gear), other than 0-60 times, there is little reason to rev the engine past 7000 RPM. A 1LE in a tight road race may carry that RPM in some situations probably in 2nd or 3rd. Back to 0-60 times no matter how good you are at shifting IMO of course, 3.6 to 3.8 is about the best you can do M6 0-60 and shifting 1st to 2nd.

Best I could do was 3.13, thats with rollout. I have never been able to put down full traction with a brake stall. This is stock converter NT555R2's. I even tried 3.73 gears and results were basically exactly the same, I couldn't really tell if I was spinning more with 3.73s but I think I was. Last edited by cmitchell17; 02-26-2021 at 01:17 PM. |

Need to use a dragy and not the performance page to measure 0-60.
My best so far from a second gear launch on the street is 3.05 or 2.84 with rollout like the C8 performance page measures. That's how they are reporting such good 0-60 times.

I was never able to get full traction with my NT555R2s, I always have to let it roll out for about .25-.5 seconds before I go full throttle. Funny enough I think this was my fastest 1/8th mile and this was right before it decided to eat its own intake valve haha Also anyone know anyway I can change the title to this thread? I was going to change it to broken stock intake valve seats, so at least someone else could locate it easier through a search? |

If you edit your initial post with the advanced editor (press the "Go Advanced" button after clicking "Edit"), it'll allow you to change the title. I do this all the time with my classifieds.

Thanks, I changed it so it will help someone find it if they are searching for things on the topic. I know I have never heard of valve seats, especially intake valve seats, failing when putting in a cam or after a valve job or even on stock LT1 applications.

I have to do the same thing on the street. I brake stall to 2k rpm, let off brake, let it roll out a bit then put it to the floor from second gear. That has netted me a 1.75 60ft, 6.9 @ 107mph in the 1/8.
