Car Update
Afternoon Everyone,
I had an interesting, first time event happen to me yesterday. I took my wife to lunch and as I parked the car. I got a chime and the Infotainment Screen told me that the car was getting a software update that would take 11 minutes. So the car could not be moved or started in that time. Came out after lunch and the only thing I noticed was I lost all my programmed stations on the radio and I cant seem to get my ipod to function. Didn't find/discover any other issues, but really didn't go looking for any either. Has anyone ever had that happen to them? Just wondering, because I have had only a lot of new cars over these last 5 years and never had a car go through a software update remotely. Thanks, Tony |

My Ram and Jeep do that periodically. Have not had it happen on the Camaro yet

I have a 2019 Blazer and several weeks ago I was prompted that a software update was available. I let the update install while my Blazer sat in the garage.
I think these "over the air" updates are a feature of the infotainment systems on 2019 Chevy vehicles.

re: OP
It's normal (at least in our cars). My 2017 did it as well shortly after purchase. |
