Our stock 2019 A10 dyno results.
Finally got enough miles on it to open it up
The results were a best of 554hp 598tq. Now time to start adding mods https://youtu.be/0Y6Q4XCcYx4 Last edited by Bain; 03-16-2019 at 12:02 PM. |

Damn, it goes pig rich under load.... No wonder there are good gains with just tuning.

You should ask for SAE corrected Dyno numbers as those are the most realistic. STD #s overstate power.

What’s with the drop off after about 6k and up. Is that normal ?

Probably this was due to the gear it was in, mine also did this, on the first dyno pulls because it was in 6th gear. 1:1 is the 7th gear, I bet that was the issue.

Even running 100% E85 on my 3576R Evo X, I preferred to keep AFR under 12 for track duty. I was running 26-27 PSI peak though, much higher than ZL1 boost. |

I think some of you guys are confusing the recommended AFR of direct injection engines with port injected engines. DI engines run quite a bit leaner than port injection in most cases.
A lot of reputable tuners run these LT4s as lean as .85 lambda. As much as I hate using AFR to describe this stuff as it’s confusing and often inaccurate (it varies a lot based on ethanol content; lambda doesn’t), .85 lambda is about 12.47:1 on straight gasoline. I run mine at .80-.81 (11.75-11.9 ish, and that’s considered on the rich side. I’d go leaner if we didn’t have crap gas out here. So yes, this is normal for a stock ZL1, but also quite rich. Mine was pretty much identical stock. It’s this rich condition that myself and many other tuners have pegged as the biggest issue with the factory tune file. It seems to over-report airflow, which makes it run rich as well as limit torque output more than it should. Correcting the airflow model helps a ton. |
