Fire from exhaust?

Was just doing a pull and while slowing down and downshifting, I noticed this bright orange light in my mirrors. Then I noticed the light was coming from the ground right behind my car. Is this normal? Will it damage the engine?

Mods are cold air intake, tune, catless dp, and muffler delete

Who did your tune? That happens when fuel is being ignited in the exhaust typically. Might wanna look into it.

This would happen to mild modified S2000's back in the day when you would do a header back exhaust with a test pipe instead of a hi-flo cat. I wouldn't be too worried about it and honestly any car that shoots flames out I would be on the fence to race them. if mine starts doing that after it get's re tuned I will let you all know. but I have a lot more mods then you other then I'm running a ZZP hi-flo catted down pipe.

Do you have their base "canned" tune or did you do some data logging with them?

I have their base tune as well with zero issues. I've never had a fireball come out of my exaust. I'm going to be on their in-house dyno this Thursday and will ask them about that fireball situation.

I'll be posting the dyno results, pictures and video on here when I'm done. My goal is 325hp.

Dont mean to steal the thread, but what fuel are you on. To expect 325 is pretty optimistic

92 octane. You're probably right.... we'll see what happens. I'm going to post results no matter what the HP number is. Stand by....

You should never shoot a flame from the exhaust if your tune is right, unless you are PURPOSELY playing with DFCO and timing to create this event.
