Question 2500 truck 6l90 2wd in 5th gen

So I have searched, and I did not come up with concrete answers.

I have the opportunity to purchase a 2500 truck 2wd 6l90 transmission.

I am looking into what it will take to work in my 2010 Camaro. I understand I will have to swap my Tech M from my Camaro 6L80 to the new trans.

I guess I can remove my tail housing from my 6l80 and bolt to the 6l90.

I guess the issue is the output shaft? So all I need is a new output shaft (and obviously a new driveshaft) to get this to work??

Thanks for any help, and lets stay on topic too. Thanks!

In the old days, a driveshaft shop could just put a new yoke on your current driveshaft to mate up with the new output shaft. Would that not be an option in this case?

That still happens today.
