Not doing 285/30/20 up front? Or do they not make it?

I see a mention of a gate fee of 10 bucks, but no other mention of costs and fees associated with driving on the track. How much is this? I'm not going to register my email first before seeing how much it is.

Also, it says it's open to all drivers and such but i've seen on other tracks that they make you join some kind of club with yearly dues and what not. Is this something someone can come in, unaffiliated with any "clubs" and just drive a bit and then leave (assuming they filled out the forms and rent a helmet)?

Yep, there's a gate fee of $10, but the price is listed on their events page - http://speedventures.com/events/Default.aspx

Just look for the June 10th/11th dates which say $199 early signup price.

Anybody can sign up for this track day. You don't have to be in a club or anything like that for SpeedVentures unless it's specifically stated on the registration page.

Thanks. too rich for my blood to drive. I'll just be keeping my eye out for the drag strip.. prices are a bit more reasonable at 20 bucks http://www.autoclubdragway.com/Ticke...l-Drags-4.aspx

Sounds like a good time! I'll be out on the Power Tour at that time, but I would be interested in a future event.

why is driving a lap on that track 200 bucks? That just seems ridiculous to me. Are they trying to keep the cost around a speeding ticket? Cuz I'm starting to like my odds with the speeding ticket at that price point.

haha $200 is less than a speeding ticket and its not just one lap its usually 3-4 session of 20-30 minutes so trust me its well worth it!

if I wanted an hour+ driving the track, it may be worth it. Since i dont want to buy new tires and brakes afterwards though - nor do i know if I'd even like the track and I'd want to bring my gf to track her car, I'd probably only be interested in a couple laps each. Just sucks that 200 dollars is their entry level cost. I'm thinking 30 bucks or so would be much more reasonable on a small track like this to get a couple laps in. But meh.
