Not to sound ignorant or anything, but what are you guys using to get soap over the entire car at once? Seems like it would take less time to wash if I didnt just have to use a bucket lol.

Foam cannon with a pressure washer. If you don’t have a pressure washer you can use a soap gun. The soap was almost gone at that point. You can put it on really thick depending on the soap and pressure used.

Today I took a high suction hand held vacuum and sucked twigs and leaves that found their way into every nook and cranny. Hood, trunk, sunroof, the gaps between the body and glass, and interior. I then cleaned the cabin filter. Next week install a Volant filter that I bought from a forum member.

All of my mod money went to a new engine, AC, and brake calipers for son Little Ricky's Scion TC. The car had 180K and now we are good to go for another 180K I hope. So that was the other thing that I did this week.

I indeed have a pressure washer. Ryobi 3200psi. Does it indeed make washing faster?

I don't know that it makes it faster for me, but it makes it more fun and thorough. The car comes out very clean when I use the foam cannon, probably because the foam gets everywhere very well.

It's just getting the pressure washer out, the hoses situated, extension cord (I used an electric pressure washer), etc...I spend half the time prepping and on cleaning up afterwards lol. It usually takes me 1.5 - 2 hours to properly wash and dry my car when I use the pressure washer and foam cannon, that includes getting everything ready, put away, and drying. For drying I use large microfiber drying towels and a leaf blower.

I get worn out washing my car, especially since it's so damn hot down here, so other people can probably get this done much quicker than me.

I agree with this. I usually cover my car with soap then wash the tires and wheels. Let the soap drip off to remove all of the top layer of crap. Then I use it again to spray the panels and wash with a bucket with a grit guard. I do a panel then rinse my microfiber mitt then go on to the next body panel. I always rinse after each panel... but I am ocd.
