I was about to say the same thing!! Shiny new paint doesn't really go good with dirt.

Cleaned it up so I can put it back under wraps till the next thaw. It was really nice to have a break from winter and do some mods, as well as going on a couple spirited drives!

Dropped her off at the dealer for the steering gear motor bolt recall and evaluation of the A8 shudder. Hoping they have the new special juice for the transmission and it will take care of that (I know, having read the threads about this that forum wisdom says it will be another short-term fix but we'll see).

I removed the Starsky & Hutch stripes in about 5 minutes while the windows were getting tinted. I also used My Chevy Rewards points for rubber trunk liner for 30k points that is very nice.

SS Spoiler Install in my LT

Here is an in depth video of the install.

Once you drill the first hole, there is no turning back!

Actually it was a pretty easy install and I think it adds a ton of style to to the car.

Go in for 2nd free oil change and to show the letters rising up on door sills, told that will be 1-2 hours......took almost 2.5 hours. Parts should be in 1/3, he will call with an update.

1/3 no call
1/4 no call
1/5 no call
1/7 no call
1/8 I call in at 9:30am. Call taker(receptionist?) Was shocked that I haven't heard anything yet, she can't find the advisor so will look into it.....comes back and says she can't find anything about a ordered part.
Will send the advisor a message.
3:45 pm, I call back, I think is was the same person that answered, I told her I still haven't been called. She said "Alright, I'm sending this to a manager. You should get a call tonight". 6.20, 40 minutes to close, I'm thinking they still can't find the invoice, so I email the manager a copy of it with my number, tell the story and "I hope this helps if it's still missing". Trying to be helpful and not angry.

They have closed, didn't get a call.

Can I be angry now? Already called another dealer and they said they will be happy to take the job but I might want to hold off in case the other guys "find whatever they can't"(their own butts? Customer service?)

Great job, looks very pretty The alignment tool helps a lot and your magnet idea for the initial holes was particularly savvy, too.

I did something similar on my previous LT, and indeed that hole drilling anxiety dissolved the moment the first hole was in place. My wife wasn't even thinking about entering the garage while I was doing the job

Thanks! I like the look of the taillights on the red and the Spoiler makes a big difference. Well done.

I also really like the flooring in your garage.

Thanks bud. I did the flooring, too, the garage hadn't been worthy of a Camaro.

I think the gray and red contrast works pretty well, our cars prove it both ways (and my new 2SS has the exact same color scheme).

well, after a tire installer screwed up all 4 of my rims, I took them to a local place and had them repaired, repainted to gloss black (was stock silver), and re ceramic coated. I'd post pics but it's after dark now and my car is terribly nasty.

Went to a different dealer. Took less than 5 minutes. I started to hand the advisor the key and he said "What would I need the key for?"
I told him the other dealership had it in the shop for an hour and a half before they told me yes the lit door sills plates need to be replaced.

"Really?"

I told him well, of course, an oil change takes them 2.5 hours.
