I hear you on that. I’m in MD so it won’t be great. Maybe a couple gentle warmer winter drives to be out of the break in period by spring.

I’m in the same boat. My build week was also scheduled for 9/20. I too ordered an LT1 without duel mode exhaust. I’m assuming since I was provided a build week that the constraint was lifted, otherwise I’d have not had one or a later date. Guess we’ll find out in the next week or two when things are finally moving again.

My 2020 2SS was produced on 12/16/2019, they shut down for 2 weeks over the holidays but typically that is it.

Amen to that! Keep me posted on your progress. I like hearing how other people that have ordered are making out. And good luck!

I placed my order here in SoCal on 5/6/21 for my ‘22 2SS 1LE. My dealer is a higher volume dealer. I got allocation 2 weeks ago and have a TPW of 10/25.

Is is worth calling/asking places if they have any allocations? Or will they not provide that info? I dont mind changing dealers but only want to do it if theres a much better chance of things at least moving forward versus just trading one dealer that has no allocations for another that also has no allocations. Of course, I want the car for spring 2022 so maybe I dont want it too fast! Ugh, this is so much harder than it should be.

Another question: When looking for cars available using the GM Camaro locator, what does "In-Transit" actually mean? Is that car already sold or is it just coming in and might be available? Or is that Camaro locator out of date and unreliable?
V6 is the biggest hold up for you at present… even if dealer has allocation today, your order won’t be allowed through yet.

Yep, so I have been warned! It’s OK, I need it by early spring. Emphasis on early.

Last I checked my TPW was 10/18… wouldn’t be surprised if it’s moved again but I feel like we’re getting somewhere!

Similar here. TPW was q0/4, then bumped two weeks to 10/18 with the initial shutdown, and then bumped to 10/25 when they extended it a week.

Going to have Joe check in a day or two, hoping to see it lock in at 3400 so I know I’m in a permanent sequence.

Just an FYI you can send a chat on Chevrolet website with your order number and they can give updates on your build as well..
Just another option encase anyone didn’t know

Just be sure to get an actual live person (longer process), as the automated system isn't going to give you the most up to date or detailed information (status code).

I just spoke with the owner of a smaller but local Chevy dealer that I decided to contact as a second option and to get his take on the situation. Basically, they are filling higher profit orders first. Im not surprised but its a little disappointing. He has a higher-end convertible coming in and says the turnaround for SS, LT1 cars and cars that are "loaded" are MUCH faster than the lower end cars. Again, from a business/profit perspective I get it. But it doesnt make me feel any better, LOL.

Guess us worker bees that want a Camaro thats NOT $55K and up should just expect to wait.... like..... a really, really long time. Sigh.

I think this goes to the root reason of the constraint on the V6 version of the Camaro. However, they are making SS and LT1 Camaros, so its more like 40k, not 55k

There is probably truth to that. I don’t think I’ve seen/heard of any LT1/xLT models hitting the road… but could also be that dealers way of trying to upswell you too.

Hang in there. If your order still hasn’t been picked up in January, that’s when it will be time to really get nervous. But I fully understand your frustration. I was there not long ago.
