I ordered my ZL1 on October 2, 2021. It was delivered on December 11, 2021. The dealer had originally told me to expect it in March or April.

Great news to hear! I ordered mine 10.15, and as of 11.15 it was still at 1100. I'm too nervous to check again, I'd hate to see it still at 1100. Think I'll just wait until 1.15.22 to check again

I got the best news ever today! My car in being shipped and will be at the dealer tomorrow! I can’t wait to see it! The dealer will get all the delivery videos and pics for me since I will be an hour away!

I would say congrats, but you're in the north and I imagine that the weather isn't going to be conducive to you getting to play with your new toy. Maybe get them to send the car far enough south so that you can enjoy it? lol But yeah, I guess congrats!

Thanks! Yeahhh in Michigan it’s been hit or miss. As long as it stay 40 degrees and sunny i will be happy just enough to get it home lol. Unfortunately it will be garage kept for 3 months but at least I have a few break in miles in.. lol

i have unfortunate news to share with the community, i had to walk away from my custom built Camaro, I know I have been talking about, am I upset about it; yes ,it was not my time to get a car (Camaro no less) but I will not give up on my dream, technically money was no object, it was simply I'm not ready to drive a car(but been working on it and not too bad at it either, i mean Florida drivers are no better) but i have some time(by march 2022, I should be good) but the travel time will kill me(it took 3 months for the car to make its way to south Florida) or worst case scenario(and cutting it close)I'll get a 2023 MY car

For those who work at dealerships/have had experience with this before:

If my order is a Sold Retail Order and is sitting at 1100, is my deposit refundable still? I thought the deposit is refundable until the order reaches 2000 status. But I remember I signed the build sheet at the dealership and their build sheet says "This order not subject to cancellation. Deposit non-refundable". I could've sworn my sales guy told me that the deposit was refundable until GM accepts it? I'm a little confused.

I've been stuck at 1100 for 5 months and I finally found almost my exact build in transit to a nearby dealer selling at MSRP. I'd like to just pull the trigger on the in transit one if I can but I would like my deposit back from the previous dealer. Any insight is greatly appreciated thanks in advance!!

Your order hasn’t been picked up by GM for build, so there’s no allocation loss to the dealer (they can use it for something else). Explain your situation to the dealer… it’s been 5 LONG months. I can’t see any reason why you wouldn’t get your deposit back.

I've been stuck at 4300 status for 2 months now. Based on what my dealer has told me it's difficult trying to find truck drivers to deliver cars right now. I guess that goes for most things in this economy, but not much I can do about that.

Yes you can get your deposit back. I went thru this same thing and got the build I wanted without having to wait any longer with a dealer that got allocation.
