Sounds about right. My quote was for a little over $1,000 and I don't have clear bra on the splitter.

Sometimes insurance won't cover stuff that isn't OEM. Depends on the insurance company. If not, buy it yourself and have the shop install when doing the work.

SirJangle, am I hearing a challenge here?

Thats why they made steel chrome bumpers until they found it more profitable to be replacing plastic ones from minor mishaps. I bet its 3-500 dollars for the part alone.😩😢

Go black with the splitter for some contrast. That's what I did.
A good PDR guy can take out that dent in the rear.

Nope, tried that first. 2 shops told me the dent is too close to the edges.

Shop just gave me an update. First, I should have my car back next week. The front quarter panel is destroyed, they can not fix the damage. A new one has been ordered. They said they have to blend the front bumper and passenger door which makes me wonder how it will turn out when finished. Next week it goes in for the clear bra per the body shops recommendation.
