Unboxing the new 2650 Eforce/1000 HP build coming later!

This build will start by testing the Edelbrock 2650 blower attached to a ZL1 with headers and some type of intake. (will see if the Cold Air Inductions will fit seeing how it has a hard carbon elbow instead of a flexible elbow) My car already has headers installed I can't really give results on what it would do on a stock zl1 platform with manifolds and cats.

*FYI* This kit is so new there was no data available on what pulleys combos will work for a stock zl1 setup. I have the ATI balancer so I have purchased a 7.8x stock ring. In Fact the blower doesn't even come with upper pulley on it. I ordered a 3.0, 3.25, 3.50, and 3.75.. There is a 4 inch available but the tech was worried about it rubbing the 103mm TB.

The next test will consist using a 103mm N.W. TB, 2650 blower, DSX Auxiliary pump, lingenfelter big bore pump, and 30% larger FIC injectors. I have seen a lot questions about these fuel parts asking "how much power can they make with out doing a cam swap?" also a majority of the people ask will it handle e85 with out mixing and at what power level.

The final test will consist of the above parts along with ported heads and a GT31 cam. This should make about 850 rwhp on 93 octane and 930 on e85. NO METH! This is according to the the Lingenfelter packages and videos posted by them. I will probably end up using my 9.2 lower and 3.50 vs 8.X lower and 3.00 like Redline and Lingenfelter's did.

PARTS and PART NUMBERS

Edelbrock 2650 #155920 (Huge thanks to Edelbrock and Nick for setting me up!)
LPE Big Bore Pump
FIC 30% DI Injectors
DSX Aux Pump
Nick Williams 103 T.B. BLACK
Katech LT4 valley cover
CHE 4920 Trunion upgrade
ARP Studs 234-4343
Cometic .XX thick head gaskets
LS7 Lifters 12499225
LS trays 12595365
Pushrods TBA (need to measure)
GT31 lingenfelter cam
Cam bolt 12681018
Hinson C7R Timing Chain
LS crank seal 12585673
LT4 Exh gsk 12657093
W. pump gsk 12657430
ATI damper bolt 951499
AMP Gen V lock out BTR
LT4 ported Heads

FYI here are the pulley and part numbers should fit other models!

3.00 – part#15872

3.25 – part#15873

3.50 - #27-15828

3.75 - #27- 15831

Other key features notice how the blower's body is setup for LT1 or LT4 heads. It also looks like the snout could be swapped in and out for either applications because of the PCV hole located in the snout for LT4 valley covers. This blower also accepts 103mm TBs with no additional work.

Talking with a tech at Edelbrock the 103 is way to small and the blower our performs it easily.

Interesting take on the throttle body restriction by Edelbrock. I wonder if they have any plans to address it. Palm Beach Dyno has had some very successful gains with 132mm and 150mm throttle bodies on Whippled Coyotes. I’m not sure where the gains stop but the 150mm made as much as 64 horsepower over the already huge 132mm. I’d like to see Edelbrock make a snout that could bolt up something bigger or even a twin 87mms. Kudos to Magnuson for theirs. I personally feel 2650’s will never meet their potential on even a 103 tb. Air in and fuel type could drastically differ the results of all Eaton based 2650’s

Our Maggie 2650 like the one on the 19 COPO has a 109mm TB.

any particular reason why you chose this unit over the Magnuson? I know your SS has the edelbrock, maybe your name brand specific?

Mainly because the size of the bricks or brick in this instance in the supercharger hearing maggi's claim to fame of race intercooler technology from formula one or wherever claiming the technology is from while having the lowest iats around. I had saw the Edelbrock debut with this massive one. I was at cfest when the 2650 hype was really high and asked them would there's have 2 or 1 giant one? They replied 2 so that kinda made it for me.

I also keep seeing builds from lingenfelter of 800 plus on 93 octane no meth, no upgraded heat exchangers, that kinda what did it for me.
I spent hours searching whipple and 2300 builds they all have meth, e85/93 mixture, rear reservoirs and upgraded exchangers..

I asked around I thought is was BS 850rwhp on 93..Every reputable shop said if they did it believe it. So we will see.

The 2300 LS blower got a terrible wrap didn't make any power but it was reliable I put 70k on mine and my friend has put another 30k.

Honestly since the LS3 blower rubbed me the wrong way as far as power goes I wouldn't even touched the LT1 eforce. But, since it was given to us and used in A.G.G. add we figured what the hell. It made exactly as stated and a can tune I believe from calloway was spot on. Now it's making a little more and following the build thread on FI forum here from Atomic ED and him moving the IAT sensor in the blower he's recording just as low temps as the 2300 maggi. I plan on moving mine when I give my wife my fuel parts from the zl1. Atomic told me he moved the sensor in a location similar to gm and magnuson and Edelbrock is very over conservative on there location. Makes sense since they offer a warranty of there blower screws up your car lol.. whether I believe that or not I don't know, not even sure anyone's ever claimed a motor.

Awesome man! Good luck on the build!

Quick comment on fueling and making XXX on 93. We only have 92 around here and prefer a safe margin. I could make a yolo pull on 92 no meth and make crazy power. It doesnt mean that its necessarily the safest decision nor would you want to let a customer go out and beat on it like that.

As far as cooling goes all 2300 Magnuson’s now include the revised bricks. One large brick vs two bricks doesnt mean more or less cooling...its just different ways of doing it.

Have fun and again, good luck!!

Thanks for the support..

I'd like to know does Edelbrock source cheaper bricks, do they not care about the latest cooling technology, do they not have the ability source from the same suppliers, is Edelbrock a small company that doesn't have an R&D team that would not think to use the best product available for there merchandise?

Who has taken a current blower apart to see if its inferior technology I'm just wondering I like to see if it's just a IAT sensor placement problem that's all ready been proven.. also the LS3 2300 had very long runners which made gobs of torque but caused the air to heat since it slowed the velocity so much.

Where did you purchase your blower pulleys? Those prices seem really cheap.
