Thanks for the tutorial. I've been looking for some flares for my 1LE. Any idea if the Z06 flares fit on the rear tires too?

Glam, about how many inches do the fender flares stick out past the original fender? I'm wanting to do the same thing as you, but with my G8 instead of my 1LE. I've got 295s on the front without rubbing, but I'm afraid that much poke will fling debris everywhere on the track.

I don't recall. I have done that on my previous 1LE and soon will do the same thing for the new car. I will take some measurements and post them here once I do that

Ok I installed them on the new car too so it looks like it won't do any good to get rid of that excessive poke at the bottom portion as it follows the lines of the fender and gets wider near the center..adding more camber will push the bottom portion bit outwards but shouldn't be as big as the G8 above. Every little bit helps of course

I love the blue polish. It's elegant and classy.

Thanks for the write-up OP!

Me and my buddy ended up doing a fair bit of additional trimming for everything to fit up, but we got it done! Ended up installing these and also my ACS Composite sideskirts. Really digging the look! Gotta do a bit more trimming on the underside to keep it from rubbing 100%, and then i get to test it out! Excited to see if any difference will be felt at higher speeds.

I want to resurrect this thread again to ask for clarification. On a stock SS 1LE, running a 335 or even wide 315 (think Yokohama A052) on 12" wheels up front results in poke. Clearly the idea behind these flares is to cover up that poke. What these flares don't do is add actual clearance between the edge of the fender and the tire. So my concern would be that the tire might make contact with the top edge of the fender when the suspension goes into full compression. OTOH maybe there's enough camber gain that this isn't a problem with those tire sizes.

My question: has anyone running such wheel/tire sizes up front with or without these flares experienced tire rub on the top of the fender edge?
