Nitrous Camaro vs ECS C7

There is an event coming up local to me called Street Racing Made Safe. Its at the local drag strip and one of my buddies friends (I cant stand the guy, because he's an arrogant prick) called me out for $100 at that event. I accepted the call out, because why not it will be fun win or lose, Aside from losing $100 if I lose. he has said there will be a double or nothing option to the loser. I'm guessing he thinks he has it in the bag. I think I have a chance, what do you guys think?

Car specs are as follows:
2014 c7 corvette Z51 (Him)
7 speed Manual
ECS supercharger kit (6.5 PSI)
Made 520 WHP and 480 Ft/LBS

2017 Camaro 2SS (Me)
A8
Nitrous Outlet Plate kit (currently 100 Shot)
No tune
Lingenfelter LNC2014 timing retard controller
NGK6510
Race star 17's with mickey Thompson ET street R's.

He doesn't want to go from a dig. We will probably do a 20 or 40 roll. I'm not sure if the track has enough room to get going faster before the tree. I'm thinking about throwing the 150 pills in and pulling some more timing.

What do you guys think the outcome is going to be?

Does he have tires? Also are those the numbers he gave you or did you see the dyno sheet?

If he has tires and can drive you are in trouble. My guess.

And which track will let you roll race at the tree?

1320 Racing and Cleetus Mcfarland do it at our Bradenton track for some of their events. Pretty awesome, but I've never attempted it myself.

OP, should be a pretty close race. I think he should have the slight advantage unless he is not telling you the whole truth. 520 at the wheels seems a bit low to me for what he has.

I don't think he has tires and he cant drive. We raced stock to stock from a 20 roll and I put 2 cars on him before I let out.

The track only lets you roll race for this event.

He tuned the car himself. I don't know if that's the numbers he actually has or if that's just what he is telling everyone.

does he really not have headers?

anyways... if he literally just bolted a ecs supercharger kit on a stock c7, he should be more in the 600 range. he is probably down playing

with the 100 pills in your car, your only hope would be if he messes up, being a manual

I would pill up to 150 or 175

His car weighs 3300 lbs. Your car weighs 3700 lbs.

He won't race from a dig because he knows he can't launch with your auto.

His car is putting down 520, your car is probably around 500 with the 100 shot.

He has more HP and less weight.

The 150 shot should get you closer, but you really need your transmission tuned to get the best from your car. If your shift points and shift firmness are set right with the 150 shot, you have a decent chance, as he will never be able to shift that fast, and at perfect RPM every time.

I'd sandbag the first race and give him the win. Then, double up, put the juice to your camaro and burn the cool right off that vette and take his $200.

I think you are toast going from a roll. He's making more than 520 whp. That's a 550 to 580 who kit. Lighter weight, better aero. Your only advantage is your trans as you won't miss a shift. He might.

If I had spent 5400 on a kit an only got 520/480 from it I would Not be a happy camper. Going full bolt-on/E85 cost about 2600 for a Camaro, and can net an LT1 just shy of 500/500.

I think the C7 should be making more power than 520, closer to 560-580. Use the 150shot, an hope he misses a gear.

He doesn't have headers. I installed the 150 pill already.

His car weighs 3520 with him in it and mine weighs 3660 with me in it on the same scale. Stock for stock from a 20 roll, I put 2 cars on him up to 100. That's when I let out. He didn't no lift shift then, and he probably still doesn't.
