What will GM be testing at Laguna Seca?
It seems GM is renting LS for 3 days, March 14-16. From what I have read, this has not been done by GM before. Anybody live nearby? Will they be testing a Z28, new Vette?

Likely the new big aero Corvette to beat the ACR's record lap time. Hopefully there will be plenty of people with cameras to get pictures and video.

Interesting. Whatever car they are testing it won't have much camo on it if they are going for record lap times.

If you think GM wants to test something.....you are to late. It has already been done when no one was watching.
If they are using the track it would be to showcase all the nice goodies they sell now to all the magazines.

Some of you may remember I got to see the pre-production 1LE out at LS last year when MT was there thanks to a buddy that has some good connections at the track. I'm not out there anymore but I have already talked to him about trying to get a peek at what GM is up to come the 14-16th, I will let you guys know if he gets a look at anything. My guess would be ZL1 1LE and maybe ZR1 prototypes.

It's probably a press event for a 2018 Corvette something or other. No Z/28 this month because the ZL1 1LE was just announced.

You need all the power it will give you heading up the hill to turn 6. From what I read, permits for exceeding sound are not easy to obtain which is why some racing venues went elsewhere. Pardon for the tangent.
