It might be. Isn't Z06 production delayed for 2017? Might be to update the hood and blower lid.

Good point, the side profile you can see the place where Z06 badge would be, not sure if that changes with the Grand Sport. It would be difficult to hear the whine because when front profile is on camera car is decelerating, and it is hard to hear the whine from any other vantage point.

It looks like a Z06 after all. The GS fender vent is different.

I am very curious as we all are to see what changes they will be doing to the 2017 Z06 LT4 as we know the same changes will be put into the 2017 ZL1 LT4. Still wondering what is going into the Z28...

I don't believe it was a ban on times. There was section of the track that had restricted speed for safety reasons. So its likely they don't have any full lap times to post unless they go back and run this summer. I suspect they were timing sections of the track to get there performance data which is why they have been giving us info about the 1LE track times a Big Willow instead of 'Ring times.

Do you have a link to this information? I'd like to use it to prove a point elsewhere. Thanks

http://blog.caranddriver.com/nurburg...tion-car-king/ Judging from this article, they didn't outright ban the attempt, they just made it impossible to post a comparable time by imposing the speed limit.

Interesting. I didn't know they restricted the posting of times and actually allowed manufacturers to use the long straight.

How long did it take before the ZL1 was actually presented (in New York) AFTER we saw it being tested in its camouflaged outfit at
Nurburgring? 6 months wasn't it? I also agree that Chevy and the rest are very reactive to bringing these new models to market much faster than in the past for competition is awesome in the auto world nowadays. One who hesitates loses. I saw the ZL1 in New York and must say the car looked great. But the Z28 is a true muscle machine and I'm sure won't disappoint. |

Maybe GM is changing the way they release products. It doesn't make sense to offer a model only in the last year or two of its design run. It would be better to offer all models sooner and then update/modify them as needed to add excitement as the vehicle design ages.
