Forced induction?

I have a '16 RS as my daily driver and would like to make it quicker. I've always wanted to get a supercharger but I don't know enough about engines to know whether or not it's a bad Idea. Ideally I want something that will improve performance (more than a little cai) w/o harming the reliability of the LGX.
I'm not against turboing, a supercharger seems to be cheaper and more simple

If it’s gonna be a daily definitely go with a supercharger, it’ll be a lot more reliable. There are several kits available - ProCharger, Edelbrock, and Overkill so far.
