Odd tire damage
Saw a bright spot on my tire and thought it may be a nail. Got closer and saw it was missing a circle of rubber and the cords are showing. Only had 5k miles on the tire. The leading edge tappers down to the cords and the trailing edge abruptly ends with a ridge. It's likely from something that was run over taking a chunk out of the tire? Any Black Friday sales on single tires?

One of my tires has the same thing only smaller. Looks like it got punctured by a rock or something. Racing season is over for me. Will probably replace.
