Harness Bar

Anyone utilizing a harness bar in their ZL1? I don't want to get a full roll bar/cage, I would just like to install a 4/5 point harness. I found one on JPD Motorsports page, but it says it is for the V6/SS Model. I'd imagine that it will still fit in the ZL1.

Any input would be appreciated.

Brey Krause makes one that is bolt in to existing points and no damage to any seating. Combine with Schroth ASM 4 pt works well for me.

I know this is an old one but where do the mounting points end up?
On the seat belt mounting points? Had a Brey-Krause in my 5TH Gen, worked well. Just undecided on which one to use.
Any one else in here using the 6th gen version

Mounting points are the rear mounting bolt on your front seats and the seatbelt mount bolts at the lower outside corner of the rear seats. Reasonably easy if all the hardware is included with the harness bar.

think I found one that would work for me after a little surfing.
Like the bar Studio RSR offers. Bigger tube and better design.

If the RSR doesn't offer height adjustability you may want to skip it in favor of the brey krause. You want to make sure your shoulder harnesses are mounted at the proper height (angle) in reference to your shoulder height. The brey krause offers that adjustability.

Thread resurrection:

For those who have harness bars, how are you defeating the seat-belt warnings? Is there some way to turn it off without just simply plugging the seat belt in?

Another option is the Schroth Quick fit pro. I run this in my car. You just have to order the BMW E90 Buckle Version. It will plug into your existing seat belt receptacle, this way full function of airbags. Also will work with a hans.

Will this system work for the 5th Gen also? I would think it would, but not 100% sure.

Avoiding the seat belt light is easy. Go to your Chevy dealer and have them order you seat belt extenders. Plug it into the seat belt "receiver" on the inboard side, no seat belt warning light.

Best part the seat belt extenders are free from GM. Thank you severely overweight people!

Any advantage to the more expensive Studio RSR ($950) over the cheaper Brey Krause ($650) besides looks?
