Talking VMAX Ported LT1 Throttle Bodies - 2016+ SS Camaro | WITH DYNO | JDP Motorsports

JDP Motorsports is excited to offer VMAX LT1 throttle bodies for the 6th Gen Camaro!!! We've been working with VMAX testing the LT1 and the results are IN!

**We are well aware of the conflicting opinions out there on ported throttle bodies. As you'll see below, these units flat out MAKE POWER!!**

VMAX - CNC Ported Throttle Body - 2016-2018 Camaro SS - VMAX-LT1TB-N

VMAX Motorsports ported throttle body for the LT1 Camaro SS offers increased throttle response as well as HP/TQ gains through out the power band. We've seen up to 8 RWHP and 15 RWTQ with this simple and inexpensive mod; for the money they can't be beat! These TB's don't require any tuning and the install is 15-20 minutes taking your time.

Product Features:

- Increased throttle response
- Excellent Drivability
- HP/TQ gains through out the power band
- Factory CNC Ported Throttle Body
- Free Shipping to the Lower 48!

Price $350.00 Shipped!!

NOW, for the fun part - The Testing:

We were not expecting large power gains but the "seat of the pants" feel, we expected to be great. Well......... We were very impressed by the low to mid range power gained from 2200 RPM all the way up to 5800 RPM. We saw up to 15 RWTQ and 8 RWHP which is awesome! Most of the time you're driving around town, you're not at redline and it is important to understand power below the curve is huge. How often are you at 6700 RPM?

The test car is a 2016 SS Manual, BONE STOCK w/NPP.

Here are the results:

BEFORE:
422.50 RWHP and 420.66 RWTQ

AFTER:
430.12 RWHP and 435.51 RWTQ

The power from 2200 - 5800 RPM was really impressive. The next test was to get a feel for it on the street and we were optimistic given the gains we achieved on the Dyno. We did some around town driving and the car immediately had better throttle response. We then took it onto the freeway and it pulled noticeably harder coming up to speed as well as while in higher gears (2K-6K) RPM.

Based on our testing, we KNOW this is a GREAT modification for the money and it really opens up power where it counts; in the low to upper mid range. Thank you to Pete at VMAX for creating an excellent product and like the 5th Gen VMAX, this is a winner!

Please feel free to call, email or PM us anytime with questions!

All the best,

Jared Royce

When are you going to pair this with the MSD Airforce Intake and have the dyno results? I am thinking of getting the setup

Those pieces are on the car now with Long tube headers. We are doing a multitude of tests and will have info as soon as we can. We've tested these both individually and they both made good power for the money invested. Pairing them is an excellent combo!

Might be a silly question but are these ported TBs completely different (Non-OEM) TBs or are they the exact units that people are taking off their 2016 Camaros, only ported hence the Core Process?

OE units ported to minimize turbulence and maximize airflow
4 bolts and an electrical connector and you are in business!

That graph is pretty clumped together is there anyway you can post one where we can see the difference at 5.5k plus?
Do you guarantee it won't throw a code? Dealer told me they won't honor my warantee if I put anything on the car that causes a code :(

I will see if we can get a better graph put up here for you. With the LT1 throttle bodies cores being so new we have not had any come back throwing codes. Honestly if your dealer really wanted to nit pick everything you put on your car then I would find a better dealer. Most will not care because it is still technically a stock throttle body and unless he wants to waste time taking it off to look at it I wouldn't worry about it. You are always more then welcome to keep your stock core just in case.
