Monticello Motor Club - a once in a lifetime opportunity
I was lucky enough to be invited to (what I think) is the first private group allowed to lap at Monticello since they closed to the public 10 years ago. The course is complex and technical - a really, really exciting and challenging track.
I got a 2:40.24 for my best time, which may be great or it may not be - I have no idea! I just know I'd jump on the chance to go again if I was ever invited back. Best lap: https://youtu.be/yj6ruIXGkPA Two full track sessions: |

I was lucky enough to be there about 5 years ago when I worked as a service advisor at a Volvo dealership. I was there for Volvo's Vista international competition just as a benefit for us to have fun. We had professional drivers as instructors and they had us doing timed events at many different sections of that wonderful track. Lifestyles of the rich and famous there!! Top shelf facility.

We didn't get to do the full course. We also got wore out on their kart track. That place was something else!
