New System

So I had previously had JL Audio ZR650 components ran by the HD 900/5 amp. I loved it. When I got my 2017 6MT I decided I wanted to go with Focal K2 Power 165 KR2 for my front speakers and for the rear side speakers I went with Focal Integration ISS 130. I can't wait to hear these installed. I will keep everyone updated with each step. This is going to be a custom build. Super excited!

Definitely keep us updated. What is your music preference.. I just installed the c5 650 components and JL 900/5 amp in my 16 vert. Using 2 x 8 inch subs in custom box.. a pair of coax c2 650s for rear fill in the back. It sounds great I listen to a mix of rock, metal etc. I'm not a SPL or rap guy.

Wow, interested in seeing the install, where did you put your subs in your vert? I assume you tossed the entire Bloze system?

I have a 1 ss. I tossed the old speakers totally. Box is laying flat on the floor of the trunk as low as It can go.. the top is only a few inches above it when lowered but it don't seem to hurt my sound quality at all. OFC results might vary if u wanted more powerful base.

I listen to a lot or rock, Like Emphatic, Breaking benjamin, Oceans divide, but I will listen to most types of music. It really depends on my mood. You went with a great choice in speakers that's for sure.

The Focal K2 Power 165KR2 6-3/4" 2-Way Component Speakers I got for $549.00 and the Focal ISS 130 5" 2 way Component Speakers 279.00. it was a Black Friday special! I had too pull the trigger for those prices.

I don't think I have heard of those brands are they pretty good?

Your getting me excited lol I know JL audio but I haven't owned any focal I hear they are very good clarity and sound. Since you had the JL's I cant wait for your take on these..

As far as car audio goes, they are pretty much as good a starting point as it gets for SQ (sound quality) builds.

I actually used a JL sub with that setup too DVC 12". I'll have to try and dig up some pics of that install.. was pretty slick - aluminum sub box!
