I am guessing a bit here but here are my thoughts. I bought a Toyota Avalon and was sold an extended warranty. It was from Portfolio Warranty which does not have great reviews on the web. Check out the BBB rating. It looks like the coverage requires you to get repairs at the dealer that you bought the car from. I was able to get the dealer to change it to a Toyota extended warranty,

Extended warranties are a personal choice. Mine was for an extra bumper o bumper coverage. I sometimes regret the purchase. I paid about $15 per month but I am talking apples and oranges with what you are buying. $43 per month seems like an awful lot of money per month for the coverage you describe. Again this is a personal decision but research the company that is standing behind your purchase.

Not worth it in my book. How many oil changes do you think you'll do in a year? Insurance covers the rest.
