sales already why???

Im loyal to chevy even despite my frustrations with personal issues I'm still sticking with the 1le. I just don't understand why they already have sales on the 1le! This car matches a shelby! why can't it hold resale pass two months of its release? ?

Not sure, other than stagnant sales. I personally am waiting on the sidelines to see how the warranty (paint, dents, headliner, steering issue) stuff plays out for a few months. The warranty forum is kinda of like looking up why your fingers are twitching on the internet, you are going to be convinced you are dying in short order :-)

What sales are you seeing? For the most part, the 1LE has been selling fairly well. Especially considering half the country is still in the thrall of winter.

Thrall of winter, with summer tires as standard. When you buy a car that requires you to buy a new set of tires at purchase (Due to the timing of 1LE release) it puts buyers off. Us hardcore buyers who said "heck with waiting" are a small group. Let's see what happens in the summer before we hit the bailout button.

From what my dealer tells me (the largest in the southeast) the SS 1LE has been selling well, but remember it is not exactly a high production car.

Plus, in most of the county it is winter and nobody is thinking about buying cars like this.

But, the main reason is car sales are down as a whole, as the majority of the county wants crossovers and SUV's....not I, but that is how it is trending now.

+1 for 'what sales?' I went to the dealer yesterday and they were telling me about some 20% off promo they were running recently, but I believe he said it only applied to the 2SS trim model.

Dude. You were at an open track day with inexperienced drivers. Don't judge the cars or drivers for passing someone under those conditions...

I don't mind the sales. Hoping there's great sales happening come June.

Damn I need to search GA dealers...the ones here in TX are all looking for mid to high-40's OTD.

None of the local dealers here even have one in stock. I'll see some in a few months I'm sure.

I don't think 37k is out the door.. unless everyone has a different idea of out the door. TO me out the door includes Tax, title, license and fees...... 37K if just sales price is somewhere around 42- 44k out the door.... depending on state, and some of those lower deals have some really specific rebates that most don't qualify for.....it is not unreasonable to pay right around invoice price.. which is about 41- 42k depending on options.. MSRP with PDR and a few others is around 46-47K

With the exceptions of a few popular model, most cars sell at or a little below invoice if you negotiate even a little

Here's a used one in TX. It should be the 2nd used car nationwide and I believe I bought the first used one unless someone else got one before I did.

definitely not, cheapest one on the autotrader is $37,600 and once you add that $600 processing fee and if you're not qualified for loyalty and farm bureau member rebates add another $2100 on top of that. It comes to ~$40,300+ Tax + fees .
