I see it.
I think the rasp goes down over time. Sounds not much different from my Stock NPP.

Sorry if this sounds lame...but when you remove the cats or get free flow cats, does this not affect your inspection during registration time?

And how many cats do these cars have?

Sorry, I've only had my car for a week, and haven't yet gone under it...need to soon though.

Thanks!

The car has 4 cats, 2 that are monitored and the 2 in the back that people usually delete. They shouldn’t affect your emissions because you still have 2 cats up front.

I have the Bola midpipe, which deleted the secondaries, and mated it up to the Flowmaster american thunder. There is no more raspy sound.

I like the sound and I like that it's a functioning NPP. For the first time, I have the exhaust set to auto, so I can use the tour mode when I get to my neighborhood and into my parking garage at work. I found with the stock muffler that with valves closed, it was too quiet, sounded like a van or truck and with the valves open it was not the right pitch and I wanted something more aggressive.

With the stock, I was always in track, now I drive 90% in sport mode.

Pretty much what everyone is saying: install a mid-pipe resonator. Personally speaking, I would use an H-pipe if you decide to remain catless, as the stock X-pipe is raspy as hell on its own.

I'm running Flowmaster 10 axlebacks, and I have the opposite problem. Not necessarily a problem, but more like bothersome drone. I still have my cats and stock exhaust manifold (could not stand the insanely raspy tone without them). Finally, if you do decide to keep the stock NPP, just fix the rattle with epoxy.

True. LTs, no cats, full ARH system. Most rasp free exhaust I have ever heard (and I’ve heard many). Nice muscle car deep tone, not obnoxiously loud at all. It does drone at part throttle. Does not bother me at all. But FYI if you are drone sensitive. No rasp though.

Do you happen to have a video of this setup?
