I was in walmart the other day and went thru the auto section. Was looking at oil and thinking the same thing. I have used it in my trucks also. I can not think of any reason to not use it. I ll wait till spring to change my oil it is getting ready to go in winter storage.

Car was designed/engineered to run on 30w oil. Why differ from that especially when T6 5w-40 doesn't have the same additive package as gas engines?

GM recommends 5-30 W synthetic for the SS. IMO that is all I would use. Rotella is designed for diesels.
