It used to be that the exhaust sound on the V6 Camaro sounded like a**. The 5th and 6th gen. Camaros fixed that. Some aftermarket V6 exhaust systems sound REALLY good.

Hopefully exhaust makers are hard at work to make turbo 4 exhausts sound better. There are a few out there right now that sound halfway decent. I'm not a Mustang fan, but check out AmericanMuscle.com for exhaust sound clips for the 2.3L Mustang.

Yeah I think the WS6 T/As were even higher than their exact counterparts, the Camaro Z/28 SS, because the ram air in the T/A was true ram air with open hood ducts right to the front of the hood, right over the air intake. The Camaro's hood ducts were at the back of the hood open towards the windshield.

I almost ordered a '99 WS6 6 speed in pewter metallic. Some personal stuff happened that put the cabbosh on fun cars for a while. I remember going to the dealer with my stepdad when he bought his '98 Grand Prix and a red one was in the showroom. Man those were killer. RIP Pontiac :(

One of the reasons we didn't get my son the 4 in his Camaro RS was that it was recommended (or required ?) using premium fuel. Oil now back up to $80 a barrel. Ford may regret getting out of small car mrkt if it keeps going up. All these Hummers that have reappeared may again go back into hibernation soon. I hope there is a happy medium. Don't want to see $4 gal gas again.

Yeah the turbo 4 requires premium. The only Camaro engine in the lineup right now that doesn't require premium is the V6.

And that High content 3.6 V6 is a sweetheart of a motor, it responds to 93 octane considering the 11.5 to 1 compression ratio

Nope. SS LT1 does not require it. It can use regular or midgrade but power and mileage will be reduced.

In other words, it requires it.

Never use anything less than 91 unless you want issues. Maybe not today but a few miles or years down the road.

3.63" x 4.01". Also has AFM, so it can run on 2 cylinders.

They were getting 325 hp out of the 350 in it's last iteration around 2002 with the ram air package in the old F-bodies so there's no reason to think they can't get 400 hp out of it now with 30+ mpg on the highway.
They got 405 out of the LS6 in 2002-04.

I wouldn’t buy a turbo even if you paid me . I don’t care what kind it is. In the 90’s I think, they were all junk. Who knows if they’ll last these days. Only time will tell.

Things change in 30 years. I wouldn't have bought a Camaro if you paid me then either, yet here we are.

The last 350 was made in 1997, it was a 346 after that

Camaro CUV would be a flat-out contradiction in terms.
