These are likely export lamps or compliant to Europe and NA. But my guess is these are export lamps.

The visual aspects of the headlight are compliant to us/euro specs. The projector however is what would designate this an ECE lamp. There would be no visual difference between a US DOT and ECE lamp except the cutoff pattern of the projector. The pic below shows a DOT cutoff in comparison to a ECE.

GM does extensive testing in Germany so it would make sense a lamp like this to be from proto car. Its probably 100% legit. I am not too sure how this could have happened though as they dont just throw the bad, broken or old parts away in a dumpster, they destroy them. Someone is going to be in some hot water.

I suspect you have seen the spy shots of the C6, how much hiding of the actual front of the car is being done to the test mules that we see driving around.

Is this going to be like the ZL1 where you could practically build your own with available parts before official release?

Don't know how I'm just now seeing this. This headlight has to be the real deal. No aftermarket company could produce something with that much style. Didn't care for the transformers 4 car but this headlight looks fine. The longer they wait for the reveal the higher the chances we see stuff like this.

Feel free, I made them to be freely modified, just leave my credit. Unfortunately I can't do anything right now. Wrong timing. The 20s 16 Camaro will probably be revealed before I get a chance to modify mine.
