Escort 360 Maxx is my preference. Whichever one you decide, id go to Gen5diy to buy the power harness. it will save your sanity. You should also research what type of rear view mirror mounts are available for it.

There is some good discussion on the topic in this thread and another one linked in that comment: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showt...1#post10673591
Beware some of the radar detectors use notch filters that completely ignore certain frequencies that cops can/do use like Uniden has implemented in order to prevent false positive alerts from blind spot monitoring systems on cars that you share the road with. I went with the Radenso Pro M since it can tell the difference between blind spot monitoring and an actual cop on those frequencies (except for false alerts on certain newer Mazdas and Cadillacs) where a Uniden would not alert for a cop or blind spot monitors on those frequencies covered by the notch filter. |

I've been using Escort detectors since 1998. I first had their 7500 till 2008, then I bought the 9500ix, and now I have the 360 Max in the Camaro with the M1 dash cam.
I've had one ticket in that timeframe, with laser in a spot I knew I should have not been speeding, and I admit to a heavy foot. The 360 does a very good job at eliminating false alerts. I still have the 9500 in my old car and that thing goes crazy all the time anymore. |

I personally have been an Escort advocate since the late 90's. 360 Max here as well but like others, my 9500i is still going strong in my daughters car. Personally I just use the suction cup mount up by the mirror and it does not bother me. Probably cant go wrong with either a Valentine or Escort. THis is a religious argument to a lot of folks.

Escort 360 max, great detector, very few false alerts, and if you have a consistent false alert location, you can easily program it out.

Radar Detector
I currently have the Escort 360 Maxx and I love it. I bought it soon after buying my SS and it's saved me several times!! I paid for the Android app subscription and it's pretty handy. It's a pricey detector but I'm a firmly believe "you get whatcha pay for". I also purchased the Rear View Mirror mounting bracket and the Hard Wiring (to my dome lights) kit as well. Very easy install (even if one isn't very mechanically inclined). The mounting bracket I wanna say was around $100 and the wiring kit I can't remember but I don't think was more than like $40.

A couple days ago I installed the direct wire harness from Gen5 DIY - it is highly recommended. The install took me all of 5 minutes and I didn't even need to take a single thing apart other than unplugging the factory harness and installing the gen5 harness. The harness plugs in series to a brown harness under the glovebox, and you simply push the built in radar detector wire up under the dash, inside the weather stripping, around the A-pillar trim to the roof line above the front window, and over to where you want your detector. Could not be easier.
