It's not okay to deface someone's car because of their bumper stickers

It's hard to believe but some people think it is okay to scratch up a car's bumper if you disagree with their bumper stickers.

Someone scratched up the plastic bumper on my Jeep Wrangler when they used a key to scratch out my bumper sticker.

Jackasses make my life difficult everyday

Do you know where it happened? Maybe there are surveillance cameras that would show who did it? In any event, that person needs to get their ass kicked!!! No excuse for touching someone else's property.

My guess was the grocery store. But I'm not going to expend any effort to find the culprit. It's not a huge deal, just a commentary on where we are now.

Yeah, I have a sticker that says 1-20-17 "Obama's Last Day!!!" that I had thought about putting on my car, but was afraid that someone would deface my car because of it.

Yeah..."certain" political stickers will certainly get your car defaced. It's a sad day we live in.

Not relevant. The sticker could say "I eat puppies" and nobody should tear up the car because of it.

You're right, it is a sad day when just because one disagrees with another they think that they have the right to silence you or do harm to you because of your expression. Even hate speech is free speech protected!

TRUTH. I will never understand the reasoning behind that. I knew some people that would vandalize someones car because they didn't like the football team on the license plate frame. To this day I have NEVER put my favorite team on a sticker or license frame because of it. It is sad there are people out there like that......

Unfortunately we can't have civil disagreements in this country anymore, not matter the what the subject matter is! It is like when you park way out in the middle of nowhere in a parking lot and some POS car is parked right next to yours when you come out back to your car and then there is door dings/scratches on yours...had that happen before. I even once had someone unscrew the tire valve cap, steal it, then stick a small stick inside the valve stem just because my vehicle was parked by itself and was completely detailed and clean. Someone just backed into my Equinox recently parked by itself, luckily they only hit the lower plastic bumper piece and I was able to pop it out, but there is still a huge scratch on it that I cannot compund out, almost a $200 part and a PITA to replace!

Has anyone ever heard of a car being keyed/damaged because it had a politically "left" sticker on it? No? Me neither.

ETA: The only sticker on my vehicles is an American flag.

You're correct. The only "hate" seems to come from those who claim to be tolerant of everyone.

They've apparently re-defined "tolerance" now, LOL.

Wrong. You've heard of it now. It goes both ways.
